Abstraction means hiding all the messy details and keeping only what's IMPORTANT. A spell has a thousand steps — but you just say "Fire Shield!" and it works. You don't need to know every tiny detail. That's abstraction! Coders do this too — they give ONE name to a whole bunch of code so they can use it without getting lost in details.
