Castle Quorum Quest
Three wizard towers share one spellbook. Build a council program that saves a spell only when enough towers agree on the same choice.
๐ง Before we start
In the Pixel Arena, your heap compared priorities before choosing the next bug. Today, a quorum compares votes. Two matching votes out of three make a safe majority, so every tower can save the same decision.
Arrange the council program
Tap four visual instruction blocks in the safe order. The castle must never save a choice before counting matching votes.
Reach a two-tower quorum
The leader proposes the Moon Shield. Ask towers to approve it. As soon as two matching seals appear, the decision is safe to commit.
Ruby Tower
Jade Tower
Gold Tower
Keep deciding during a storm
Lightning disconnected Gold Tower. Ruby and Jade still agree. Choose whether two available matching votes are enough to safely continue.
Debug the split-vote spellbook
Every tower picked a different spell. The buggy spellbook tries to save Ruby's choice anyway. Repair the rule so no decision is committed without two matching votes.
๐ What you learned
- Consensus means several program parts agree on one shared decision.
- A proposal gives every voter the same choice to consider.
- A quorum is enough matching votes to form a majority.
- With three voters, two matching votes are enough to commit safely.
- One missing voter does not stop the system when the other two agree.
- A split vote has no quorum, so the program must wait and try again.
